Who we are
Kevin Blackburn Photography is a family owned and operated business that provides a full range of professional photographic, Digital imaging, and Graphic design services for a variety of clients and events. We have a full time staff of three and a seasonal staff of contract photographers and support personnel that range from four to eight depending on our clients needs.

About Kevin
Kevin’s interest in photography and design started at the age of 12 with the gift of a used 35mm camera and has never stopped. He spent his more formative years learning as he went and when he decided to enter the US air force he found the perfect opportunity to broaden his curiosity with a formal education. Kevin attended college while in the Air Force and received a Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism and Print design and Associates in applied science and Logistics.
While in the Air Force Kevin began working as a free-lance photographer and was contracted by Grand Forks Air Force Base as a special events and sports photographer. Events photographed included the Air Force Ball 1997-1999, the Black and White Ball 1998-1999, the annual Chiefs’ Dinner 1998-1999, and Base League Sports 1997-1999.While also shooting an average of 8 Weddings and several special events each year.
Upon Kevin’s discharge from the Air Force, he returned home and continued to work as a freelance photographer, becoming the Chief photographer for Media General at the Waynesboro News Virginian. In 2002 Kevin left Media General to work full time in the Emergency Medical field and to pursue his freelance photography and design business. Kevin now works full time for Wintergreen Fire and Rescue as a Firefighter/Medic. Working only 10 days a month at Wintergreen has allowed Kevin to devote his free time operating his freelance photography and design business.
